In May you would say love is in the air, in October it is politics and protesting and this year is better than ever! With the upcoming Presidential election a year away things have already started to “gear” up for what should be a big victory for the GOP [Grand Old Party]! Assuming the GOP can find the right candidate. Watching the debates they are all over the place, it is my hope that we start to see a clear front runner and we can start hammering away at the current administration. Let’s face it Barak Obama ran a masterful campaign unfortunately the man that ran for President is not the man we have a 1,000 days later! What happened to that guy who made all those wonderful speeches about transparent government and bi-partisanship and where is my free healthcare? I don’t want to make this blog about politics but with the economy the way it is now, you cannot go to the store without wondering what if John McCain was President and would life be any better??
Then you have the Occupy Wall Street folks, what a joke they are protesting against the greed of Wall Street but today it was announced they have amassed $300,000 in donations that they will most likely be investing in the market in order to grow the movement! How is that for irony? Living homeless in NYC as a protest is all fun and games for the unemployed but as soon as the news cameras go away so will the protesters. The producers of Survivor and Big Brother should be filming this it would make a great train wreck reality show. If the OWS leaders were smart [which they are not] they would bring in Russell Hanz or Brendon and Rachel to teach them how to live in chaos and start voting the real loser out of the park! The OWS has no clear purpose nor do they have a message that is worth protesting over. They are just a bunch of unhappy people that voted for Obama and now have buyer’s remorse. Andrew Card said today that if he was grading the President that he would give him a C- and that was only because he had the balls to order the death of Osama Bin Laden and he finally passed the trade bill that President Bush wrote!
This country needs a true leader and Barak Obama is just a sad lonely guy who is now touring the country in a bus preaching the same old message that is just not working. We should all pray for another Reagan type President to save the day and the economy.
